The GIA colour scale runs from D (completely colourless) to Z (light yellow). Alevy recommends D–J for finest results.
Clarity describes internal characteristics. Drag the slider or tap a grade. FL is flawless; I2 has inclusions visible to the naked eye.
1 carat = 0.2 grams. The circles below show size from above at scale. Price increases exponentially — a 2ct costs far more than two 1ct stones of equal quality.
